Chinese Investments in Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Vietnam (CLMV) with the BRI as the Backdrop: Current Situation and Recommendations

This paper focuses on Chinese investments in Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Vietnam with the BRI as the backdrop. The models and focuses of such investments are different in these four countries, and this investment cooperation between China and the four countries sets a good example for other ASEAN members. This paper recommends that the four countries seize the opportunity to welcome Chinese investments for their own economic development and not let their fractional and technological conflicts with China block their way of development.
