In Conducting Cultural Exchanges with Foreign Countries, China Must Pay Attention to the Innovation of Ideas and Ways

Yu Hongjun • 1 •

Any nation or country in the world, at any time and under any conditions, invariably promotes the spread of its culture to the outside world in order to enhance their external influence and improve their external environment for survival and development. This is true of the United States, Britain, France, Germany and other Western countries, as well as Russia, India, Japan, South Korea and other neighboring countries of China. It is also true of Iran, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and other Muslim countries.

China is a huge developing country with more than 50 ethnic groups, nearly 1.4 billion people and 5000 years of brilliant civilization. It is also at a critical historical junction of comprehensive rejuvenation and quickly moving toward the world center stage. Thus, China should regard the dissemination of its culture to the outside world as a long-term and arduous historical task of the CPC and the entire nation, adhere to the innovation of ideas and ways, and make every effort with a down-to-earth attitude.
